Overview

At AAC Eurovent we offer a range of specialist dry chemical scrubbing equipment and high performance carbon filters, designed to control the indoor air quality at airport terminal buildings.

Most of the issues, relating to air quality at this type of facility, arise as a result of fumes and odour from kerosene based products entering the terminal building through the air intake system and air handling units (AHUs). Locating air intakes systems as far away as possible from the source of potential kerosene fumes is a well established measure, and can go some way to improving the indoor air quality. However, this is by no means is a full proof strategy, as localised weather and prevailing wind direction can often work against even the best placed air intake systems.

An increasingly popular solution to this problem is to fit dry chemical scrubbing equipment and high performance carbon filters into the airport terminal building Air Handling Unit (AHU). In addition to its role in odour control, the carbon filter also acts as a scrubbing agent in the removal of atmospheric pollutants including VOCs and Ozone.
